You’re not entitled to your opinion ….
While everyone has the right to hold an opinion, not all opinions are equally valid or worthy of respect. Opinions that are based on reason and logic are more likely to be well-informed, well-considered, and defensible than those that are based on emotions, biases, or misinformation.
Using reason and logic to support an opinion means providing evidence, data, and logical arguments to back up your position. It also means being open to hearing and considering alternative viewpoints and being willing to revise or adjust your opinion considering new information or evidence.
This is our editorial philosophy, and we will publish Letters to the Editor that are congruent with this viewpoint.
